I am a percussionist, writer and web developer. At 19 years old, I dreamt of a beautiful goddess rising out of the ocean, calling out to me. At the time, I began studying African Brazilian and Cuban rhythms on percussion instruments. Many years later, I realized that this goddess was Yemanja, or Iemanja, as she is known in Brazil.
I continue to explore and experience the mystical, transcendent aspects of Candomblé drumming, and am writing my dissertation for my doctoral degree in Mythological Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Born to a Mohawk mother and European father, I celebrate my connection to the land through both Native American tradition and the ancient Goddess traditions of Europe. I found the pilgrim’s path as a journalist and photographer on a quest to explore Women’s sacred connection to land. I will share the songs, art and movement of our ancestors on our journeys. I love a good laugh, and believe that a sense of humor is imperative on life’s journey. In daily life I am an author, photography teacher and web designer. |
